Biography


Lecturer in Nonprofit ManagementLecturer in Nonprofit ManagementHillary Selvin is the Executive Director of the National Council of Jewish Women/ Los Angeles Section (NCJW/LA).  NCJW/LA is a grassroots advocacy organization providing social and community services to improve the lives of women, children and families. Ms. Selvin came to NCJW/LA from her position as CEO of the West Hollywood Chamber of Commerce where she created a thriving business association.  Her ability to collaborate has helped increase services to women, children, and families in Los Angeles.  She also created the Annual West Hollywood Job and Career Development Fair and the Sunset Strip/Times Square Billboard Awards.

Ms. Selvin has worked as the Young Judaea Regional Director for the JCC in Los Angeles, where she oversaw various programs, including Hadassah.  She is a member of the Jewish Communal Professionals of Southern California and has been on the Boards of Congregation Kol Ami and the West Hollywood Housing Corporation while also serving as Vice President of the Westside Council of Chambers of Commerce (WC3) and a founding member of the Westside Economic Collaborative. 

Ms. Selvin has always been active in her own community and assisted with the formation of a neighborhood watch and patrol.  She has also volunteered for the American Red Cross and participated in a PSA for the City of West Hollywood on early detection for Breast Cancer.
